TalkRite Communications of Keene, NH and Winchendon, MA, first established “NamesClaim.com” as a GoDaddy.com reseller. This had three primary advantages for us. And, because our website development company was always buying and managing domain names, for ourselves and others, any one of these reasons would have been enough to persuade us to go down this path.
- First, we could buy our own domain names for less money and manage them under our own private label (NamesClaim) brand.
- Second, we could set up a retail store fully managed and supported by GoDaddy offering discounted names to the public with all the bells and whistles offered at GoDaddy’s own branded store.
- Third, our clients could manage their own domain dames on their own account, and continue to get discounts, while our own brand develops a reputation, instead of sending our clients to someone else’s brand.
We have selected to offer domain names at the lowest possible price allowed by GoDaddy (without taking a loss). GoDaddy does allow us to adjust our pricing (cool, huh?). Finally, about this site. NamesClaim.net is our own “in-house” brokerage to sell existing or pre-registered domain names.
It is generally understood by developers that domain names that have been around a while are favored by the search engines when it comes to keyword results positioning. By the way, search engines also favor names that won’t expire soon (as a side note), so, longevity can be a factor of positioning.
Why is NamesClaim.net selling domain names?
We have acquired many domain names over the years. Some of them we are currently using, some we aren’t. Some we have purchased for projects that we may never have the time to get to. Some we have purchased on speculation for our clients, or ourselves, but dropped the projects. There are many reasons.
All of these reasons have led us here. We have names to sell. Some of them are very competitive, and command higher prices. Some were scheduled to become our own brands, but we haven’t scheduled them for development yet, so we can let them go.
